The Avengers: Doomsday trailer was shown and I felt pure, overwhelming excitement after the footage was premiered at CinemaCon. I was in the audience and you could feel a sense of total shock, The trailer brought out such a reaction from everyone that they ended up playing it twice for the audience. The return of the Russo Brothers alongside Robert Downey Jr. has clearly set a high bar for the film, this was a highlight of the event as you could feel the energy of the crowd losing their minds over the reveals.
The trailer is packed with significant character returns and surprising crossovers that signal a massive shift for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Notable appearances include Professor Xavier and Gambit, signaling a deeper integration of the X-Men which we knew was coming. One specific action sequence is a battle between Gambit and Shang-Chi, which adds to the chaotic and expansive scale of the film. There is also an emotional scene featuring Thor and Captain America, with thor being confused on how Steve is in front of him especially since he is still young here, Cap proves he is who he is by summoning Mjolnir.
