The Batman Review : Best in years!
Written By John Darius
The Batman directed by the master mind that is Matt Reeves, has finally made its way to audiences worldwide. Promptly being praised as one of the best iterations to come in decades!
Warner brothers has undoubtedly found their new leading star in Robert Pattinson who gives a terrific performance from start to finish. Bringing to life a new formal take on a well known franchise that continues to evolve over the years as what has now gone on in becoming a beloved phenomenon across the globe.
Crafted by a well thought out cast in powerhouses such as Zoe Kravitz, Colin Farrell, Andy Serkis, Jeffrey Wright & Paul Dano, this well imagined world has successfully cemented an identity for itself standing apart from what we’ve come to see in the past .
Reeves who’s quickly become one of Hollywood’s most sought out artists, has even gone as far as delivering other critically acclaimed pictures in Cloverfield, Let Me In, Dawn Of the planet of the apes, & War of the planet of the apes.
Now having made his mark within the DC universe, Reeves has given a love letter to masses that have been yearning for a more grounded detective style of the caped crusader. Earning nothing but standing ovations by both fans and studio executives alike.
Those lovers for noir films in 1976’s Chinatown, Mindhunter and David Fincher’s Se7en will surely find most satisfaction with this new entry. Solidified with an amazing script written and produced by Peter Craig and Dylan Clark.
Assembled with a beautiful score by Michael Gacchino. Along with an outstanding cinematographer in Greg Frasier. The Batman clearly showcases to be the best in Matt Reeves filmography thus far. A sequel has now been greenlit, & one can only hope this next coming successor is just as heartfelt and emotional as it’s predecessor. Leading us on with yet another gem in the future! Β
